Shirley A. Waller, 68 years, of Hominy, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017, at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Shirley was born in Hominy on May 18, 1948 to Lewis and Amia (Shook) Pope. She graduated from Hominy High School, and attended Beauty School after graduation.
Shirley married Eddie Waller, on April 19, 1969 and they were married 47 years. Shirley worked at Munsingwear, Cupid, and waitressed at several different places. She was a hard worker, and a jack of all trades; from building fences, to driving a tractor. When she retired; she took care of her mother daily, and any other family member that needed her. She was caring, ornery, and tough as nails.
Shirley is survived by: her husband, Eddie Waller; her daughter, Crystal Long; her sister, Vivian Blue; her mother, Amia Pope; her granddaughter, Cammi Long; her grandson, T.J. Long; 3 nieces: Jackie, Jennifer & Jessica, 2 nephews: Josh & Johnny Joe; and several aunts and uncles and cousins.
Shirley is preceded in death by her father, Lewis Pope.
Funeral services were held 2:00 PM, Friday, January 6, 2017 at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Wayne Brown officiating. Pallbearers were: Clifford Hayes, Tommy Hayes, Cliffy Hayes, Tod White, Dennis White and Jason May. The musical selections was: "I Believe". Burial followed the services at the A. J. Powell Memorial Cemetery in Hominy, Oklahoma.
