Ruby Mae Miller

Ruby Mae Miller, lifelong Hominy resident, passed from this life to her heavenly home on Friday, July 17, 2026, in Tulsa. She was 103 years of age. Ruby was born on April 10, 1923, in Hominy, the daughter of Oliver and Ada Mae (Sears) Alexander. She was raised and received her education in Hominy, and on September 28, 1938, was united in marriage to W.L. (Duck) Miller where they continued to make their home. Ruby first worked for Hominy Nursing Home and later at Thrift Mart Grocery. She found her call when she began working in Home Health, a job she continued with into her 90's. Ruby loved sewing and baking for family and friends.

Ruby is survived by her daughter Paula; grandchildren Mike Miller, Barry Miller, Jessica Ludwig, and Jedadiah and Jeremiah Hoggatt. Also surviving and holding many cherished memories are her three great grandchildren Dyamond Shillingstad, Mordacai Johnson and Baron Ludwig. Also surviving are her brother & sister-in-law Hubert and Charlotte Hutchens as well as many nieces and nephews. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband W. L. (Duck) Miller; son Ronald B. Miller; granddaughter Sommer Potts; great granddaughter Dallen Potts; three brothers George, Marcus and E.J. Alexander and two sisters Mattie Butts and Mamie Carl.

Visitation for Ruby will be Thursday, July 23rd from 4pm - 7pm at the Powell Funeral Home, Hominy. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 24th at 2:00 PM in the sanctuary of the First Christian Church in Cleveland with Brandon Morton officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at the A J Powell Memorial Cemetery, Hominy, OK.
