Pamela Christian

Pamela Ann (Hopper) Christian was born February 11, 1957 to Homer and JoAnn (Bryant) Hopper. She went to be with Jesus on December 3, 2025, at 68 years of age. Pam was a lifelong resident of Hominy, even being born in the Hominy Hospital. All of her childhood education was at Hominy Public Schools. She was a part of the graduating class of 1975.On August 6, 1977, Pam married her high school sweetheart, Kenny Christian. They enjoyed over 48 years of marriage and built their life and family on the firm foundation of Christ. To their union, God blessed them with three sons: Chad Derek, born December 16, 1979, Daniel Ray, born October 23, 1985, and Caleb Michael, born October 3, 1990. Pam was a full time wife and mom, but in her spare time, she also worked outside of the home. She worked at the Tulsa Allergy Clinic, then for Dr. Hudson, as a physician's assistant in the 1980s and early 1990s. She then went to work as a pharmacy clerk at Hominy Rexall, where she finished out her career in December 2015.Pam's life was a testimony of quiet strength, deep compassion, and unwavering faith. She stepped into ministry alongside her beloved husband, Kenny, in the 1980s at Calvary, where together they poured into the young people of Hominy for more than twenty years. Together they led countless young people to the Lord through their youth ministry and their work with FCA. In 2005, when Kenny and Pam accepted the call to serve as senior pastors of Calvary Worship Center, she continued to carry the love, faith, and joy of Christ to every person who walked through its doors. Pam loved and embodied the purest and most beautiful aspects of ministry. Her generosity was abundant, her kindness instinctive, her faith steady, and her love for people unending. She lifted others up in prayer the moment a need crossed her heart. Utterly selfless, she consistently placed the needs of others before her own, serving with a grace that left a lasting imprint on everyone she met.

Though she gave herself wholeheartedly to the ministry, Pam's greatest joy was her family. She cherished walking hand-in-hand with her love, Kenny, laughing and joking with her sons, and caring for her precious grandchildren, who were a constant delight to her. She served and loved her family fiercely, and they remained the center of her world. Pam also loved cheering on the men in her life as they took the field to play Hominy Buck football - from the days she cheered for Kenny when they were high school sweethearts, to watching all three of her sons play, and most recently her eldest grandson as he carried on the tradition. She was a Hominy Buck fan through and through, and nothing made her prouder than supporting her boys. Each morning, Pam could be found sitting in her favorite chair by the window, watching the cardinals flutter by as she opened the Word of God. Spending time with the Lord was the rhythm that shaped her days and filled her spirit. Because she walked so closely with Him in this life, we rejoice in knowing that when she stepped into eternity, she entered into the fullness of His presence - into joy everlasting.Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Homer & JoAnn Hopper, her aunt Margaret Bryant, half-sister, Mary Katherine Dennis, in-laws, Audrey & John Groom, and Claude & Mary Ann Christian, as well as numerous other family members. She is survived by her husband, Kenny, of the home, her sons & daughters(in-law), Chad & Suzy, of Hominy, Daniel & Jessica, of Benton, AR, and Caleb & Chelsea, of Hominy. The grandkids left forever loving their "MeMe" are Litsy Anne, Lincoln Warren, Lindyn Margaret, Elisha Ray, Shiloh Alora, Crew Raye, Carsyn Leigh, Charlee Jo, & Champ Michael. She is also survived by a multitude of family and friends whom she loved dearly.
