Mary Julia Sullivan-Boggs

     Mary Julia Sullivan-Boggs, 62, formerly of Hominy, passed from this life on January 23, 2022 at the DCH Hospital, Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  Mary was born January 10, 1960 in Demopolis, Alabama, the daughter of Charles Wayne and Wilhelmina (Phillips) Heartsill.  She was raised and received education in Alabama.  On August 16, 1980, Mary and David Sullivan were united in marriage in Skiatook, OK.  To this union, three children were born.  From 1982 till 1994, they lived in Alabama until moving to Hominy.  Her husband David died in 2012, and she remained in Hominy until about two years ago, when she returned to Alabama.  While there she was united in marriage to Donald Boggs.  Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing and socializing with family and friends.

     Those that survive and hold many cherished memories include her husband; three children – Wilhelmina Jackson and husband Chad of Hominy, Crystal Sullivan of Hominy and Sonny Sullivan and wife Amy of Chelsea, OK.  Also surviving are two brothers Charles and David Heartsill, both of Alabama and two sisters Bevely Hamilton of Arkansas and Patricia Lara of Alabama; as well as seven grandchildren and nieces and nephews.  Besides her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Donna Solomon and brother James Heartsill.

     Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Monday, January 31, 2022 with graveside services being held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 with Pastor Keith Stephenson officiating.  Burial will be in the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery, Hominy, OK under the direction of the Powell Funeral Home
