Martha Bills

Martha Amelia (Leigh) Bills passed from this life on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Martha Bills was born January 24, 1942, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to John and Glenna Leigh. She grew up with one brother and three sisters in the Midwest City where she attended school. She spent her last year of high school in EL Paso, Texas where she graduated. She moved back to the Pawhuska area where she met and married Walter Bills for 52 years. They were married at the Washington County Courthouse in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Martha and Walter had three sons; Bobby, K.C., and Joey. She loved her family dearly. She was proudest of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Martha was very devout Catholic at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pawhuska. Martha served at the church soup kitchen, she also worked at the Legion Bingo for twenty years. Martha worked for the Osage Nation for thirty-two years. Marta and Bill took a working vacation to Alaska in 1998. They stopped at every garage sale on the way there and on the way back. They also visited every Catholic Church they saw on the journey. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Martha is survived by her husband Walter Bills; her three sons Bobby wife Stephanie Bills, K.C. wife Brittany Bills, and Joey wife Megan Bills; her sister Laura husband Stan Crawford; sixteen grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents John Leigh , Glenna Choice and stepfather Al Choice; brother Bob; sisters Glenna and Pam; and granddaughter Madeline Bills.

Memorial service for Martha Bills will be Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pawhuska. Rosary at 10:00am, followed by Catholic Mass at 10:30am and a meal to follow at Wakon Iron Community Building. Arrangements provided by Powell Funeral Home, Hominy, Oklahoma.
