Margaret Elizabeth Pearson

Margaret Elizabeth Pearson was born on September 28, 1915 in Keats Kansas to Edward Glen Pultz and Georgia Chamberlain Pultz. She was the oldest of five children and a mother’s helper at an early age. She passed from this life on Monday, February 4, 2013 in Beeville Texas having reached the age of 97 years, 4 months, and 7 days. She graduated from Keats Rural High School in 1933, and worked in several general stores while taking a course in business. She married George H. Pearson on June 28, 1935 and he preceded her in death on October 3, 1994. They were blessed with four children, John, George Jr., Glenda and Gary, and 59 years of marriage. She resided in Ralston Oklahoma for 34 years. Margaret was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star since 1951, and served as Worthy Matron for four years. She was employed by the Navy Exchange retail system in 1949, and was promoted several times from clerk to manager, and instructor in 21 years. She retired in 1972. Margaret was a Pearl Harbor survivor as she and George, along with their two children, George Jr. and Glenda were there on December 7th. Margaret is survived by: Son:Gary Pearson & his wife, Loretta Daughter:Glenda Sue Pearson 8 Grandchildren:Bill Glen Marshall, Sandra Sue Garfield, Cindy Lynn and Jim LeBlanc, John Irvin Pearson, Dana Marie and Steve Ferguson, Anthony and Debbie Pearson, George Allen and Leslie Pearson, and Megan Ann and Jess Skelton 14 Great Grandchildren:Thomas Marshall, Jennifer Marshall, Amber Garfield, Krystal Lowe, Angela Garfield, Bradford Marshall, Sarah Cleverley, Rebekah Cleverley, William Pearson, Georgia Pearson, Jake Skelton, Owen Skelton, Everly Skelton, and Alice Pearson 7 Great-Great Grandchildren:Amberleigh Marshall, Jazmine Ross, Alyha Ross, Kasey Lowe, Jackson Lowe, Jade Gomez, and Braydon Gomez Step Granddaughters: Jacqueline McCuistian and Lila Bowen Step Great-Grandchildren:Alaijah Randal, Victoria Bowen, and Brian Hadwin Plus a number of other relatives, and many friends. Besides her husband, George, she was preceded in death by two sons, John I. and George Jr., her parents; sister, Jean; three brothers, Blaine, Frank and Argel Pultz; daughter-in-law, Janice Pearson; and great grandson, Tyler Marshall. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Highland Cemetery, Pawnee.
