Obituary for Lois Pearson York Lois York, 95, of Alamogordo, New Mexico passed away April 14, 2010 in New Mexico. Lois was born in Blackburn, Oklahoma on March 14, 1915 to Thomas Everett and Alta Josephine (Brown) Pearson. Lois married Virgil Ray York, he passed away October 1986. Lois is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Sponagel of Alamogordo, New Mexico and Shelly Chandler of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, 8 grandchildren, Theresa Jones and husband Matt of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Michelle Schauer and husband Ed of Gum Barrel City, Texas; Ronald Sponagel and wife Cassie of Roswell, New Mexico; Diana Hammond of Mabank, Texas; Dwight Sponagel and wife Julie of Overland Park, Kansas; Cheryl Foxworthy and husband Warren of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; Mark Chandler and wife Annette of Missouri City, Texas and Linda and Russell Hosey of West Virginia. 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild, 1 sister Lorita Atkinson of Mansfield, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband. Services for Lois were held on Monday April 19, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at the Nazarene Church in Hominy Oklahoma. Rev. Russell Hosey officiated. Interment was in the A.J. Powell Cemetery under the direction of Powell Funeral Home, Hominy, Oklahoma.
