Larry Gene Avey Obituary Larry Gene Avey, 54 of Hominy, Oklahoma passed away August 7, 2009 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Larry was born June 12, 1955 to George and Doris Marie (Howard) Avey at Tulsa, Oklahoma. He had lived in Hominy three years. He worked for Sinclair Oil Company. He is survived by his significant other of the home Barbara Black; two sons- Kevien and Larry R. Avey; two step-children- Joy Horton and husband Danny and Roger Black; Two brothers- Jerry and Steve Avey and two sisters- Debbie Helt and Cathey Sullivan. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers- Billy and George Avey Jr. His Memorial Service was Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. at the Calvary Worship Center with Pastor, Kenny Christian officiating. Music selections were Amazing Grace and How Great Thou Art . Arrangements were made with Powell Funeral Home, Hominy, Oklahoma.
