Kenneth Lee Carter Obituary Kenneth Lee Carter, 58 of Hominy, Oklahoma passed away May 30, 2011 at his home. Kenneth was born on December 12, 1952 at Hominy, Oklahoma to Robert Lee and Velma Nadean (Lowe) Carter. Kenneth was a graduate of Hominy High School and a lifelong resident of Hominy. He married Mary Jane Wynn on December 15, 1970, in Hominy, Oklahoma. Kenneth worked as a cowboy/rancher and oilfield worker. Kenneth is survived by his wife Mary of the home; mother Velma Ellis of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a son: Kevin Lee Carter of Hominy; three daughters: Nancy Ann Bock of Perkins, Oklahoma, Theresa Michelle Carter of Hominy, Oklahoma, M. Christine Wilson of Carney, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, and two sisters: Janice Cain of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Connie Smith of Konawa, Oklahoma. Kenneth was preceded in death by his father and stepfather Frank Ellis. Memorial Services for Kenneth were held Friday, June 3, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the A.J. Pavilion with Everett Waller officiating. Taped music selection was "That Long Black Train". Arrangement was made under the direction of Powell Funeral Home, Hominy, Oklahoma.
