Helen Marie Spurgin-Oyler Trotter Obituary Helen Trotter, age 71, passed away at Cushing Regional Hospital in Cushing, Oklahoma on Sunday, January 9, 2011. Helen was born on June 8, 1939 to George and Gertie (Pointer) Spurgin in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. She worked in Cleveland and Hominy at the Skylark Motel, and then as a care-giver until she had a major stroke in early 1990s. She attended the Assembly of God Church. Helen is survived by her daughter: Patricia Shelton of Jennings, Oklahoma; 2 sons: Tommy Oyler of Jennings, and Jeff Oyler and wife Pam of Stillwater, Oklahoma; 4 grandsons, 5 granddaughters, 2 great grandsons and 2 sisters: Georgie Seabolt and husband Dextor of Skiatook, Oklahoma and Rosie VanFleet and husband Bob from Colorado. We all loved her very much and will miss her dearly each and every day. Funeral Services will be Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with J.W. Wright officiating. Interment will be in the A.J. Powell Cemetery under the direction of Powell Funeral Home.
