Obituary

Heath Daniel McClendon, resident of Cleveland, OK passed from this life on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, in Saint Francis Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 51. He had his daughter and niece by his side praying over him as he crossed to the other side. Heath was born March 7, 1975, in Pawnee, OK to Amos and Mary Darlene (McClendon) Stokes. He was united in marriage to Pam on April 15, 1993, at the Nazarene Church in Hominy. They met through a friend and honeymooned in Branson, Missouri. They were married for 26 years.

Heath enjoyed Sunday dinners at Granny Mae's when the kids were young. All the family gathered together for Sunday dinner. He loved those homemade chicken noodles, mashed potatoes and fried chicken. He also liked hiking up the hill behind Granny's. He enjoyed all different kinds of music. Heath worked as a welder's helper on oil & gas pipelines. Unfortunately, he struggled with addiction, as do many people. A couple of Heath's favorite Bible verses were Isiah 54:17 and Psalms 46:1.

Those that preceded him in death were his paternal grandmother Eva Mae Stokes, cousins Michael and Leon Stokes, maternal grandmother Fairy Jean McClendon, Uncle Harvey McClendon, Aunt Trudy McClendon, Uncles Charles, Calvin and Bill Riley and cousin Calvin, Jr.

Those that are still with us and hold many cherished memories include his mother Mary and father Amos Stokes. His daughter Brittany McClendon; two sisters Misty Dobbins and Barbara Kaudle Kaule and three grandchildren - Sophia, Aria and Romeo McClendon; Nieces and Nephews - Fairy Amy, Kaitlyn, Perry, Myria, Jack, Mursadeez, Charles, Kalim, Levi, Jacob, Liano, JR, Lela, Miguel, Zachary; and great nieces and nephews - Jaycee, Amayclyn, Myron, Brantleigh, Graisleigh, Easton, Paisleigh, , Jaxon, Logan, Parker, Scout, Elias, Florence, Jade, Marcus, Olivia and Bailey.
