Frances "Fran" Emily Webb

Frances Emily Webb was born June 3, 1946, in Hominy, Oklahoma to William Lowe and Betty (Kastle) Lowe. She went to Horace Mann Elementary School, and she Graduated in 1964 from Hominy High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society, State Honor Society. She was active in Pep Club, Jr Play, Speech Team, FHA, FHA Parliamentarian, FHA Historian, Buck Staff. After High School she attended Draughon School of Business, where she earned her degree to become a legal secretary.

Fran went on a double date with her best friend, Tommie Jean Moore. Tommie went with Jim Mathis and Fran was introduced to Tony Webb. It was not long until she accepted his proposal for marriage. Fran and Tony got married on July 11, 1969, at the Methodist Church in Hominy, Oklahoma. Then off to Branson, Missouri for their honeymoon.

Fran started out as a legal secretary for T F Duke, but when he transferred to the Osage County District Attorney’s Office, he took Fran with him. After leaving the attorney’s office Fran substituted for the Hominy Public Schools.

Fran and Tony had one child, Toby, which brought great joy to Fran’s heart. She was his cub scout leader. Toby married Ellenie and they gave Fran her only grandchild, Annie Webb. Now Fran loved her little family. She loved spending time with them all. There is one word that describes Fran; speed, she loved to go fast; but even better than speed was speed in her Corvette. Fran loved driving her Corvette with her long blonde hair blowing in the wind. She would be singing to all her favorite musicians, George Strait, Conway Twitty, Alan Jackson, and Elvis Presley. Branson was their vacation spot, Fran loved going there. No reason to try new places, she knew the fun she could have in Branson. She loved to eat out. Then there is her little fur ball, Chipper, the cocker spaniel.

Fran struggled with MS for almost fifty years, but she kept pushing herself as long as she could. Frances Emily Webb passed from this life on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, in her home.

Fran was survived by her husband Tony Webb; son Toby (Ellenie)Webb; one grandchild Annie Webb; sister-in-law Mary Webb; nieces Michelle Webb and Kate McGrath; nephew Johnny Webb. She is preceded in death by her parents William and Betty Lowe; in laws Dale and Elsie Webb; brother-in-law Gerald “Pokey” Webb, and Aunt Louise Marlow.

Fran’s service will be Monday, April 1, 2024, at 1:30pm at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel followed by burial at A J Powell Funeral Home. Wayne Brown will be Officiating. Arrangements made by Powell Funeral Service, Hominy, Oklahoma
