Fonda Gale Middlebrook, 54 years, of Hominy, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was a lifelong Hominy and Prue, Oklahoma resident.
Fonda was born in Hominy on May 22, 1963 to Riley and Mary Abigale (Blow) McElroy. She attended and graduated from Prue High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Prue. Fonda married Thomas Middlebrook on February 9, 1989. She was a good caretaker and helpmate - doing many things that not a lot of people knew. Fonda was a most generous, fun-loving and strong woman, an awesome mate, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister.
Fonda is survived by: her husband, Tom Middlebrook of Hominy, OK (Tom unfortunately passed away to join Fonda Tuesday, June 6, 2017); her mother, Gale McElroy of Tulsa, OK; 7 children: Ashley Haviland, Thomas Randall Goodman, Jacob Middlebrook and his fiancée, Ashton Rusher, all of Hominy, OK, Carrie Crane and her husband, Greg of Broken Arrow, OK, Dr. Brian Keith Middlebrook and his wife, Julie of Midland, TX, Raelene McCullough and her husband, Rick of Cleveland, OK, Thomas Middlebrook and his wife, Brandy of Fairfax, OK; 12 grandchildren: Sydnee Morrill, Tytan Goodman, Zachary Haviland, Zain Haviland, Tori, Keith and Rachel McCullough, Thomas Middlebrook, Sarah and Jackson Hancock Emma and Cole Middlebrook; her sister, Nealia Combs of Claremore, OK; her brother, Joshua McElroy of Hominy, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Fonda is preceded in death by: her father and her granddaughter, Aubree Paige Haviland.
Visitation will be at Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Hominy 9 AM - 8 PM, Thursday June 8, 2017.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, June 9, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Hominy, Oklahoma with the Pastor Garry McDevitt officiating with interment following at the A. J. Powell Memorial Cemetery in Hominy. Pallbearers are: Joshua McElroy, Dr. Tom McGinnity, Larry Dedmon, Cha Fairweather, Ray Morey and Corby Sorrells. Honorary pallbearers are: Thomas Fast, Bill Morey, Joe Lucas, Mark Thomas, and John Morgan.
