Obituary

David Anthony Maker was born July 12, 1958, in Washington, D.C. to Bruce Maker and Marcia (Hathaway) Maker. Tony lived in the DC area the first couple of years of his life and then moved to San Francisco, California. He ended up in Hominy where he attended High School and ran track.

Tony joined the United States Army in 1979 where he spent three years in active duty and then three years in the national guard. He belongs to the 179 Infantry Air Assault, combat support company. He earned his sergeant stripes in Fort Benning Georgia. He spent time in Grenada and other parts of the world.

Tony was a hard worker and enjoyed doing electrician work and construction. He also worked in wastewater for the city of Hominy & Tulsa Tony was a proud member of the Osage Tribe, he taught his children the traditions of the tribe. He also spoke the Osage language.

In 2010 Tony fell in love with Jenny Watashe and they have enjoyed life together from that time. He always took care of her and she in return always took care of him especially through all his health problems.

Tony loved anything outdoors. Loved coon hunting deer hunting fishing pawn hopping riding four wheelers but most of all he love spending time with all his grandkids. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. He loved guns, riding four wheelers, his grandkids and mountain dew. Tony spent many years as a Boy Scout Leader and helped direct many young men.

David Anthony Maker passed from this life on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Oklahoma State University Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Tony is survived by his life partner Jenny Watashe, his daughters, Mistty Perryman and husband (Clay) and their three kids, Erin Foster and her four kids, his first born son Zach Maker his wife (Bethany) and their three kids, 2nd born son Daniel Maker his wife (Stacy) and their three kids, Corey Maker and his wife (Ashley) and their two kids and three Brothers, Chuck Maker(Angie), Teddy Maker, Timmy Hayali

He is preceded in death by his dad and mom Bruce and Marcia Maker, and an infant daughter.

Funeral services for David Anthony Maker are Monday, May 18, 2026, at the Hominy Osage Indian Village Chapel at 10:00am followed by burial in the A J Powell Memorial Cemetery in Hominy, Oklahoma at 11:00am. Funeral services are arranged by Powell Funeral Service.
