Darrell Jacob Walker was born on October 5, 1930 in Skedee, Oklahoma to Alfred Eugene Walker and Vada Ann Hardman Walker. He passed from this life on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 in Enid, Oklahoma having reached the age of 83 years, 11 months, and 19 days. He attended Blackburn Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1948. He moved to Laramie Wyoming and worked for the Union Pacific Railroad, and was drafted into the United States Army, and served in the Korean War. He later moved to Enid Oklahoma and worked for the Frisco Railroad where he retired in 1991. Darrell is survived by his sister, Willene McCrackin and her husband, Floyd, Mannford, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Lorraine Walker, Rawlins, Wyoming; plus several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Vada Walker; two brothers, Melvin Walker and Charles Walker; and two sisters, Lola and Zola Walker. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Skedee Cemetery, Skedee, Oklahoma, with Rev. Tobe Sperry officiating.
