Connie Miller

Connie LaRue Miller, age 67, of Hominy passed from this life on Thursday evening, December 18, 2025, at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa. Connie was born June 2, 1958, in Oxnard, CA to Alvin and Loretta (Ford) White. She was raised and received her education in Bakersfield, CA, first at Wayside Elementary. She graduated from South Bakersfield High School. Connie was united in marriage to Lenny Miller in Bakersfield on August 18, 1991; they had been married for 30 years at the time of his death on Sept. 24, 2021. They were introduced by family friends and honeymooned at Pismo Beach.

Connie lived a life defined by kindness and compassion, loving others with no boundaries. Her warmth, generosity and unwavering care will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She loved going to movies and traveling to Moro Beach. Connie also enjoyed concerts by Brian Adams and the Oak Ridge Boys and one of her favorite tv programs was "The Virginian". She had a strong moral compass, was loyal and strong willed. Connie has made her home in Hominy for the past three years.
Those who survive and hold many cherished memories are her son - Billy Meyerring and wife Tina of Hominy, OK and daughter Krystal Gomez-Vader of Bakersfield, CA. Also surviving are grandchildren Piper, Neveah, Ivy, Noah, Adam, Joel and Arabella. As per Connie's wishes, there will be no formal services, and her request was to be cremated. Powell Funeral Home, Hominy, OK has been entrusted with the arrangements.
