Brandon Looney

Brandon Joe Looney, age 34, of Noble, Oklahoma passed from this life on Tuesday morning, October 14, 2025. He was born December 21, 1990, at Cushing, OK to Ronnie B. and Victoria Ann (McKinney) Looney. Brandon was raised in the Ralston and Fairfax areas, attending Woodland Public Schools. He was of Osage, Pawnee, and Cherokee descent and was very proud of his Native American Heritage. His Osage name was "Hunka Walee", which translates to "second son eagle clan". He lived in the Ralston & Fairfax areas, until moving to Noble, OK, with his partner, Bryan Edwards, where he was employed as a store clerk for 7-Eleven convenience stores.

Brandon enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was often the "life of the party". He said that his mom and dad had the greatest effect on his life. He liked listening to R&B, Country and Rap music. In fact, he loved listening to music while he was cleaning. Despite having very little nothing made him happier than getting his nieces and nephews gifts for Christmas and their birthdays. He would give his last cent to anyone if he felt they needed it. He was a very compassionate and giving person. He was the epitome of what this world needs more of. Brandon also enjoyed "trying his luck" at the casino. He would often detour on his way home for the holidays and show up late because he had been gambling at the casino.

Those that survive and hold many cherished memories are his parents, brother Thomas (Farrin) and sister Tashina Looney (Mark Brown), paternal grandfather, Ronnie Looney, and five nieces and nephews: Skout, Jace, Tinlee, Jayceigh, and Dixie. He was preceded in death by one brother Jacob Looney, Patty McKinney (maternal grandmother), Doris Looney (paternal grandmother) and Leonard McKinney (maternal grandfather).

Traditional Osage services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the Grayhorse Chapel, 177 Kinney Drive, Fairfax, OK 74637, with John Shaw and Taos Barrone speaking. Burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery, Ralston, OK. The traditional Osage feast honoring Brandon will be held at the Grayhorse Community Building, 16539 County Road 5451, Fairfax, OK 74637, following the burial.

Funeral services were entrusted to the Powell Funeral Home of Hominy, OK. www.powellfuneralservice.com
