Anita Louise Chambers, age 84, passed from this life on Thursday, October 2, 2025, in Tulsa. Anita was born on December 11, 1940, in Pawhuska, OK to Frank and Nellie (Patrick) Dykes. She was raised in the Wynona area and attended Wynona Schools.
Anita was previously married to Otis Allison and from this union, four children were born and their home was made in Skiatook where Anita remained living until moving into long term care in 2020. Anita was a homemaker most of her life and loved watching professional wrestling, roller derby and was an avid George Jones fan, even having attended one of his concerts. Anita enjoyed watching the news and the Johnny Carson show. One of the family’s memories was when they went to the Grand Canyon.
Those that survive and hold many cherished memories include her children – Lloyd Allison, Gina Kelty, Jerry Allison and Ronda Morris. Also surviving is one sister Rosa Mitchell and eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Anita was preceded in death by brothers – Jimmie, Gerald and Frank Dykes, Jr; and sisters Edna Harber, Kathryn Marsh and Ruth Earp.
Funeral services will be Friday, October 10, 2025, in the Chapel of the Powell Funeral Home. There will be a time of viewing starting at 11:00 am prior to the service. Burial will follow in the AJ Powell Memorial Cemetery, Hominy, OK. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to the Powell Funeral Home, 223 N. Wood Ave, Hominy, OK.www.powellfuneralservice.com
