Alice "Allie" Massey, 63, passed away on April 18th. A longtime resident of Fairfax, Allie built a life rooted in hard work, compassion, and deep family connections.
Allie is survived by her devoted husband, Ray; her children, Dustin and Jackie; and her cherished grandchildren, Emily, Andi, Lane,Natalie, Braxton and Paisley. She also leaves behind many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her son, Tim; her parents, Jack and Bonnie; her brothers, Mark and Dewayne; and her sister, Jan.
Allie and Ray shared a strong and lasting partnership, built on love, dedication, and the life they created together. Whether working side by side, raising their family, or caring for their animals, their bond was evident to everyone who knew them.
Throughout her life, Allie wore many hats and was known for her strong work ethic and willingness to serve others. She owned and operated a pet store and helped Ray manage a hardware store, and she also dedicated part of her life to helping others as an EMT. No matter the role, she brought determination, compassion, and heart to everything she did.
Allie had a deep love for animals of all kinds. From her fondness for frogs to the many animals she and Ray raised together, she found joy in caring for everything from beloved family dogs to the cows on their farm. Her connection to animals reflected her gentle spirit and the care she showed to all living things.
She also had a sense of adventure and found joy in scuba diving, embracing the beauty and peace it brought her. Known for her thoughtfulness, Allie had a special gift for making others feel loved-especially through the care she put into giving. She was known as one of the best gift givers and present wrappers, always adding a personal touch that made every occasion feel extra special
She will be remembered for her resilience, her love for her family, and the many lives she touched along the way.
Funeral services will be held on April 23rd at Foraker Cemetery.
