Will Rodgers Carpenter Obituary Will Rodgers Rod Carpenter age 70, of Hominy, Oklahoma passed away February 5, 2009 at his residence. Rod was born September 25, 1938 to Howard and Jesse (Nichols) Carpenter at Alluwe, Oklahoma. He moved from Alluwe to Hominy where he has lived the last several years. Most of his life he worked in the oil field. Rod is survived by two sisters- Lynnie Sue Uorris of Dan Diego, California and Verda Metz of Wichita, Kansas, several nieces, nephews and special friends- Fern Walker, Jack and Joyce Parks. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister- Dorothy Woods; two brothers- Avery and Jo Bob Carpenter. Graveside service will be at the Chelsea Cemetery on February 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements made with Powell Funeral Home, Hominy, Oklahoma.
