Violet Movita Crawford, 88, a life long resident of Hominy, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at St. John's Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Violet was born on July 4, 1925 in Hominy, Oklahoma to Claudia (Jones) and Jim Lopez. She attended Hominy Schools. Violet was married to Earnest Oscar Crawford, Sr. on July 12, 2014. She was a homemaker during their marriage. Earnest passed away on February 10, 1968. Violet was a member of Greater Mount Pilgrim Church in Hominy. Violet is survived by six children: Earnest Oscar Crawford, Jr. and his wife, Marzella of Norman, Oklahoma; James E. Crawford and his wife, Jamie, of Hominy; Brenda Johnson and her husband, Lambert, Sr. of Hominy; Teresa Johnson of Hominy; Donna Crawford of Hominy; Aaron Crawford and his wife, Debbie, of Hominy, seventeen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Violet is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; her daughter, Diane Humphrey; her son, Edgar Crawford, one brother and three sisters. Funeral services are Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Hominy, with Pastors Eddie Davis and Kenny Christian officiating. Pallbearers will be: Lambert Johnson, Jr., Howard Crawford, Jr., Melvin Crawford, Mike Hudson, Randy Walker, Jr. and Zack Crawford. Flower girls will be: Aneattra Johnson, April Johnson, Kimberly Humphrey, Summer Johnson, Allison Johnson and Jessica Crawford. Burial is at A. J. Powell Cemetery in Hominy, Oklahoma.
