Verva Mae Frommie Obituary Verva Mae Frommie, age 91 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away Monday, February 2, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa. Verva was born February 25, 1923 in Porum, Oklahoma to Albert and Georgia Mae (Waters) Corbell. She was raised in Hominy; lived in Tulsa, Ponca City and Kaw City, Oklahoma. Verva married Vernon L. Frommie in 1959 and he preceded her in death January 22, 1996. Verva was a retired Beautician; she had worked in Hominy for several years. Verva was a member of the First Baptist Church, Hominy, Oklahoma. She is survived by a son, Ed Harmon of Tulsa, Oklahoma, a step-daughter Melissa Bryson and husband Robert of Fairview, Texas; 2 step-sons: Vance Frommie of Spencer, Iowa; Rick Frommie of Webb, Iowa; 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild; 2 brothers LeeRoy Skinner of Sierra Vista, Az.; and Clete Corbell of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and a sister Betty Jean Shadley of Ponca City, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother Ruby Corbell, husband, and grandson Eddie Harmon. Funeral Services for Verva will be Friday, February 6, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Hominy, First Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Formby officiating. Music selections will be "Victory in Jesus", "Amazing Grace", "One More Mountain" sung by the Gaithers and "Just a Closer Walk with Thee". Pall Bearers will be John Corbell, Justin Scranton, Michael Harmon and Justin Genson. Interment in the A.J. Powell Cemetery, Hominy, with arrangements made with Powell Funeral Home, Hominy, Oklahoma. www.powellfuneralservice.com
