Sue B. Melton Obituary Sue B. Melton, age 83, of Cleveland, Oklahoma passed away April 11, 2014 at Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Sue was born March 8, 1931 in Wirt, Oklahoma to Leonard and Vivian (Edmisten) Bowling. Sue graduated from Barnsdall Public Schools. Sue married Earnest Joel Melton November 1962; he preceded her in death February 7, 1996. She was retired as an accountant from Dick Connor Correctional Center. She was a long time Hominy resident but lived the last 10 years in Cleveland, Oklahoma. She was a loving mother and grandmother, very independent and enjoyed working. Sue is survived by a son, Michael Aldridge and wife Debra of Winnsboro, Texas; 5 grandchildren: Michael, Mark, Andrew, Stephanie and Kimberlee; 4 great grandchildren: Ashlee, Dmitri, Declan and Donovan; a brother: J Clark Bowling of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and 2 brothers: William L. (Dub) Bowling and Robert Harlan Bowling. Funeral services were Monday, April 14, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Stumpff officiating. Interment was under the direction of Powell Funeral Home in the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery, Hominy, Oklahoma. www.powellfuneralservice.com
