Sarah Loretta May Obituary Sarah May, 79 of Hominy, passed away December 15, 2009 in Cleveland, Oklahoma. She was born February 24, 1930 in Pottersville, Missouri to Zenephan Hickman and Bertha (Fox) Callahan. On May 20, 1949 she married Cephie Alvie May in Arkansas. He passed away December 9, 1982; they had lived in Hominy since 1957. Sarah sold Avon for many years, and was also a housewife, she enjoyed taking care of her kids and grandkids. Sarah is survived by her sons, Melford May and wife Freda of Calico Rock, Arkansas, Marvin May of Elkhart, Kansas, Kenith May and wife LaVonne of Prue, Danny May and wife Dorothy of Hominy, Gary May and wife Tonya of Morrison, Oklahoma, Gerald May and wife Nancy of Hominy, Dale May and wife Kathy of Perry, and Jesse May and wife Mary of Hominy. 25 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 brothers, Lewis and Mickey Callahan and 2 sisters, Lorene Wilson and Jane Robinson, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Nona Joy Rhine and a son Randy, a grandson Brian and daughter-in-law Johnnie Lou May. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the Calvary Worship Center in Hominy with Ronnie Wilson officiating. Burial will be at the A.J. Powell Cemetery, Hominy. Casket bearers for the service will be her sons, Melford, Marvin, Kenith, Danny, Gary, Gerald, Dale and Jesse May. Arrangements were entrusted to Powell Funeral Home, Hominy, Oklahoma.
