Ricky Lee Robinson Jr., Obituary Ricky Lee Robinson Jr., of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; a man with a huge heart- went to be with his Lord on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the age of 37. He was born March 17, 1976 to Ricky Lee and Carol (Campbell) Robinson in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Rick grew up in Wynona, Oklahoma and he was loved by many. He graduated from Barnsdall High School. At a young age he displayed a love of music and taught himself how to play the guitar when he was 13 years old. He could listen to a song and then play it. Later he learned to read music and started writing his own songs. Rick was a talented musician and his passion for music was seen all throughout his life. Ricky worked for Northern Pipeline as a pipeliner. He had a softer side that he let very few people see. He loved his family with everything he had. He also had a soft spot for animals. Rick is survived by his parents: Rick and Carol Robinson of Wynona, Oklahoma; a sister, Christi Kelley and husband Ronnie of Barnsdall, Oklahoma; his grandmother: Leota Robinson of Wynona; and numerous aunts, uncles & cousins. Rick loved his friends and always kept them close to his heart. He was a smart-witty individual who kept people laughing. He was a good man that left a huge gaping hole in the hearts of everyone that loved him. He will be missed by so many people. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Henry and Pearl Campbell, a biological grandmother Melva Aldridge, his paternal grandpa: Nolan "Peanuts" Robinson and several close friends. For you Bubba: "Psalms 91:14-15 "Because he loves me," says the Lord, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him." A Memorial Service was held at the A.J. Powell Cemetery Pavilion, Monday, May 20, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor David Head officiating. Musical selections were "If I Die Tomorrow" and "Home Sweet Home". Honorary Casket Bearers were Mike Thomas, John Thomas, Robbie Robinson, Chase Robinson, Ronnie Kelley, Jeremy Holt, Billy Doty, Adam Long, Jason Dolan and Richie Hogue. Interment was in the A.J. Powell Cemetery, Hominy, Oklahoma. www.powellfuneralservice.com.
