Oliver "Ob" Bagg

Oliver “OB” Walter Bagg was born on June 2, 1930 to Frank Bagg and Zella May Hatcher in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He passed from this life at his home in Newkirk, Oklahoma on Friday, January 3, 2014, having reached the age of 83 years, 7 months, and 1 day. He married Peggy Ann Wise on December 22, 1949 in Maramec, Oklahoma, and she preceded him in death on November 8, 2010. He held various jobs, one as a carpenter and for several years with Cement companies in Ponca City and around ten years for the County at District One in Ponca City. He retired in 1998. OB loved camping and especially fishing. He enjoyed watching western movies and could tell one story after another about his younger days, but most of all he loved his family. OB is survived by: 2 Sons:Jack Bagg & his wife, Trudy, Newkirk, Oklahoma Everett “Sam” Bagg & his wife, Betty, Newkirk, Oklahoma 2 Daughters:Leona Duncan, Newkirk, Oklahoma Glenda Tate, Iowa 11 Grandchildren & 18 Great Grandchildren: Michael and Lisa Bagg with daughter, Bailey and son, Zayne Tonya and John Mowdy with daughters, Savannah and Emylee Derek and Mindi Duncan, with daughter, Maddie, and stepchildren, Raegan. Jaden ,Preston Josiah Turner; Robert Cady; and Jessica Bagg Chad & Jaime Bagg with sons, Jonah, Canaan, Ethan, and daughter, Chloe Brady and Kelly Goad with son, Maxx Mindi and Frank “Cass” Midgley with daughters, Lydia, Bethany & Rachel, and son, John Matthew and Connie Goad with son, Joshua, and daughter, Olivia Plus a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Besides his wife, Peggy, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Kevin Dean Bagg, his parents; five brothers; and one sister. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Poteet Funeral Home, Pawnee, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in his name to the Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, 1904 North Union, Ponca City, Oklahoma, 74601.
