Michael Dewane Hand Obituary Michael Dewane Hand, age 66 of Hominy, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Michael was born June 30, 1947 at Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Earl and Nell (Summers) Hand. Michael married Mary Jo Ann Rogers June 1, 1969 at Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He has lived in Hominy since 1977. Michael served in the National Guard, and worked in the oilfield as an assistant production foreman for Service Drilling Company. Many years ago he worked for the State of Oklahoma- maintaining and operating equipment. Michael is survived by his wife Jo Ann of the home- a daughter: Amy Hand of Hominy and a son: Brad Hand and wife Janice of Guthrie, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren: Ashley, Alycia and Josh Mayo, Jared and Logan Hand; a sister: Mary Lou DeLong and husband Ronnie of Hominy, Oklahoma; a host of other relatives and friends. He loved his grandkids, was a good husband, father and grandpa. He loved riding motorcycles, playing jokes on people. He was a member of the Hominy Nazarene Church. Michael was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial Services will be Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hominy Nazarene Church with Pastor Carl Brown officiating, and Darren DeLong speaking. Special music chosen by the family will be "Amazing Grace, My Chains Are Gone" and "I Will Rise". Arrangements were made with Powell Funeral Home, Hominy, Oklahoma. www.powellfuneralservice.com
