Mary Magdalene Horton Obituary Mary Magdalene Horton, age 80, passed away November 30, 2008 at Bethany, Oklahoma. Mary was born December 25, 1927 in Hominy, Oklahoma to Fred and Lou (Sears) Hight. She married Ira Horton on January 2, 1946 in Salina, Kansas. She graduated from Hominy Public Schools and from Central State Beauty Academy. She had lived in the Hominy, Wynona and Bethany areas. She was a homemaker and enjoyed bowling and was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Ira preceded her in death February 17, 1987. She is survived by four children- Roger Horton and wife Beverly of Edmond, Oklahoma, Judy Hanna and husband David of Edmond, Oklahoma, Donnie Horton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Terry Horton of Bethany, Oklahoma. Ten grandchildren- Mickey and Travis Horton; Ryan, Sarah, Alexandra and Isabel Horton; Lindsey, Drew Jackson, Christy and Angela Hanna. Four great grandchildren- Sophia Horton, Lilly Horton, Mia Horton and Max Horton. Her husband Ira, her parents, one brother- Bill Hight, two sisters- Lena Hill and Frankie Hilt, preceded Mary in death. Graveside service at the A.J. Powell Cemetery was Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Jerry Stumpff officiating. Arrangements were made with Powell Funeral Home, Hominy, Oklahoma.
