Mary Larene Bearden

Mary LaRene Bearden, 87 years, lifelong resident of Hominy, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, July 09, 2017 at the Brookdale Senior Living Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Mary was born in Hominy to John A. and Irene (Smith) Bruno on June 9, 1930. She attended St. John School of Nursing and worked at the Hominy Hospital, and then worked for Dr. John Hudson for 15 years in his family practice. On September 9, 1955, Mary married Isaac Burton "Burt" Bearden, though he sadly passed before her on December 9, 2013. They made their home in Hominy and were members of and active in the First Baptist Church.

Mary is survived by four children: Bobbye Hicks and her husband, Steve, of Houston, TX, Mark Bearden and his wife, Paula, of Tulsa, OK, Becky Olynic and her husband, Dave, of Chesapeake Beach, MD, Matthew Bearden and his wife, Camden, of Tulsa, OK; 9 grandchildren: Mackenzie Hicks, Caitlin Bearden, Alexander Olynic, Zachary Olynic, Con Bearden, Lane Bearden, Joss Bearden, Evan Barton, and Ethan Barton; 2 brothers: John Bruno and Kenneth Bruno; 1 sister: Judy Collins and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mary is preceded in death by: her parents, her husband, and 1 brother, Bobby Bruno.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, July 14, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Hominy, Oklahoma with the Pastor Mark Formby officiating. Speakers will be Bobbye Hicks and Mark Bearden. Inurnment will follow at 1:30 PM at the Ethel Reese Cemetery in Barnsdall, Oklahoma.
