Mary Jo Jelinek was born on December 7, 1926 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Cecil E. Kelley and Pauline Sutherland Kelley. She passed away from this life on September 25, 2014 in Berryville, Arkansas, having reached the age of 87. She attended Pawnee Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1945. She married Frank J. Jelinek on May 19, 1946 in Pawnee, Oklahoma where they made their home until his death on April 20, 1989. She was a member of the First Christian Church for many years and she was initially a School Teacher North of Pawnee and later took a job at a Munsingwear Plant. She was always busy making a living with her husband but always found time to entertain her three children by taking trips including going fishing whenever she could. Fishing was one of her favorite pastimes. She later married Richard Ausbrook of Cushing, Oklahoma where she made her home until his death in April 2009 Mary Jo is survived by Brothers: Jimmy Kelley, Jack Kelley, and Cecil Kelley: Children: Patrick James Jelinek and his Fiance’ Joetta Whitford, Frank Joseph Jelinek Jr and his wife Debbie; 4 Grandchildren: Christopher Jelinek, Amber and her husband Dan Grate, Eric Jelinek and his wife Melanie, Jennifer and her husband Chad Jurgensmeyer; 4 Great Grandchildren; plus a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Besides her husbands she was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Pauline Kelley, her Sister Edna Mae Funk, and her daughter Rosemary Jelinek. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 3, 2014 at the First Christian Church, Pawnee, with Rev. Tom Scott officiating. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery, Pawnee.
