Marvin Lee Ledbetter passed from this life on April 1, 2022, at the age of 81. 

 

Marvin was born on January 6, 1941, at Hominy, Oklahoma.  Marvin was the son of Arthur Lee and Louise Lavelle (Self) Ledbetter.  Marvin grew up and attended school in Hominy later graduating with the Class of 1959.  Following his education Marvin began working at the tank farm in Hominy soon gaining employment with C.E. Natco until the closer of the facility.  On February 3, 1961, Marvin was united in marriage to Eva Roberts in Barnsdall, Oklahoma.  He then began working as a mechanic out of his home before accepting a position with the Keystone Schools at the bus barn in the 1980's.   Marvin continued with the school until the late 1990's when he retired. 

 

Marvin enjoyed coon hunting, fishing and working in his garden.  His grandchildren were his pride and joy.  

 

Survivors are his wife Eva of the home; two children Kevin Ledbetter of Skiatook, Oklahoma, Deborah Hogue of Barnsdall, Oklahoma; sister Wanda Ledbetter of Cleveland, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren Matthew Lawson, Misty Flores, Megan Loffelholtz, Jacob Oakes, Kalvin Ledbetter, Cierra Hogue, James Lawson, Grant Lawson, Julie Lawson, Rhiana Lawson; twelve great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.  In addition to his parents Marvin was preceded in death by his one sister Carol Schantz, one brother Albert Ray Ledbetter.

 

Services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, April 16, 2022, at the Church of Christ in Cleveland, Oklahoma with Vance Davis officiating services.  Powell Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
