Bill Tisdale Obituary Bill Tisdale, 78 of Hominy, Oklahoma passed away December 5, 2010 at Cleveland, Oklahoma. Bill was born November 21, 1932 in Hominy, Oklahoma to Loyd W. and Mildred Marie (Young) Tisdale. Bill attended the Hominy Public Schools; he was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army from September 1, 1950 to June 16, 1952 receiving the Korean Service Medal and the Bronze Service Star. Bill and Darlene Boulanger were married December 24, 1955 and were married sixteen years. He had worked as a pipeliner and cowboy. He was President of Hominy Round-up Club. He was a very loving grandfather. Bill is survived by 5 children- Janet Batdorf and husband Tag of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, Sheryl Bonney of Dewey, Oklahoma, Jodie Shorter and husband Wayne of Dewey, Oklahoma, Brian Tisdale of Hominy and Steve Tisdale and Kim Sims of Hominy. 15 grandchildren- Jessica and Benjamin Batdorf, Donna and James Bonney, Jacey Pierce, Kalyn and Tyler Shorter, Britni, Austin and Tatum Tisdale, Heather Voss, Anthony Tisdale, Anne Marie Tisdale, Ashley Nicole Duncan and Morgan Anderson. 18 great grandchildren; 2 brothers- Johnny Tisdale and wife Linda of Barnsdall, Oklahoma and George Tisdale and wife Delila of Florida; 2 sisters- Kay Lazelle of Claremore, Oklahoma and Nancy Ray of Hominy; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister- Pat Sweeden; 2 brother-in-laws Tim Ray and Roger Lazelle. Funeral Services for Bill were Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Calvary Worship Center with Roger Sheppard officiating. Taped music selections were Amazing Grace by Willie Nelson, How Great Thou Art by Connie Smith, and Remember Me by Willie Nelson. Casket bearers were Tyler Shorter, Benjamin Batdorf, Anthony Tisdale, Austin Tisdale, Steve Tisdale and Brian Tisdale. Military honors were by the American Legion Post 198 of Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Interment was in the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Powell Funeral Home, Hominy, Oklahoma.
