Louise Meadows Obituary Louise Meadows, age 89, of Hominy, Oklahoma passed away July 2, 2012 at the Bartlesville Health and Rehab Community, Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Louise was born to Zed Henry and Clorah Viola (Couffer) Kendrick August 16, 1922 in Hominy, Oklahoma. Louise is a life time resident of Hominy and attended Mound Valley School. Louise and Wesley Roy Meadows were married for 59 years; December 22, 1952 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Louise was retired from the Hominy Nursing Home where she worked in the laundry department; she was a full time homemaker, she cleaned houses and did ironing, she was famous for her Angel Food Cake, she was an excellent cook and baker. Louise was beloved by everyone. Louise was survived by her husband of the home: Wesley Roy; two daughters: Diana Swain and husband Randy of Hominy, Debra Deal and husband Larry of Hominy; one son: Jim Thornton of Terlton, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one sister: Zoletta Martin of Mannford, Oklahoma, and numerous friends and family. Louise was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. Funeral Services were Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Hominy, Oklahoma with Bro. Mark Formby officiating. Taped music selections were " The Old Rugged Cross", "Precious Memories" and "In the Garden". Pall Bearers were: Bucky Venable, Jody Bostik, Roger Whited, D.J. Whited, Stacy Thornton and Jerry Behrens. Interment will be in the A.J. Powell Cemetery, for the graveside interment they met at the pavilion.
