Kathleen E. Fast Obituary Kathleen Elouise Fast was born March 26, 1935 at home in Wildhorse, Oklahoma to Omer and Lillie Yarbrough. She attended school at Wildhorse where she met and married Jesse (Sonny) Fast on November 5, 1950. The couple resided in Tulsa until 1962 when they built their home in Prue and raised their three children, Diana, Skip and Thomas. Kathleen was saved and baptized in March 1949 at Oakhill Baptist Church. She was a member of Prue, First Baptist Church where she served faithfully in many different capacities. Kathleen retired after 18 years as a cook from Prue Public School. She enjoyed her grandchildren and being with family and friends. Kathleen was extremely dedicated to those she loved and cared for. Kathleen passed away at home on September 29, 2008 surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by her husband Sonny of the home; daughter- Diana Patterson and husband Bob of Prue, son- Thomas Fast of Oklahoma City; two brothers- Jack and Tom Yarbrough; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Her son Skip, both parents, six brothers and one sister, preceded her in death. Services were Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Prue with Pastor Garry McDevitt officiating. Music selections were Beulah Land and Ill Meet You in The Morning . Casket bearers were Shannon Birkenfeld, Billy Yarbrough, Gary Yarbrough, Emmett Yarbrough, Terry Sanders and David Yarbrough. Burial was in the Prairie View Cemetery, Prue. The family entrusted Powell Funeral Home with the arrangements.
