Kathleen Dellena (Phillys) Wikel Obituary Kathleen (Katie) Dellena Wikel 53 of Hominy, Oklahoma passed away December 12, 2009 at their residence. Katie was born to Weldon and Mary Lou (Dye) Phillys November 28, 1956 at Amarillo, Texas. She grew up in Texas and Oklahoma; Katie and David Wikel were married May 14, 1991 in Miami, Oklahoma. She attended Tulsa Junior College in the RN Program. She earned an RNs Degree working for 25 years in the nursing field at St. Johns Hospital, Hillcrest Hospital, several Nursing Homes and Home Health Care before retiring in 2005 due to illness. Her hobbies included arts and crafts, boating, fishing and her grandchildren. Katie and David adopted all their grandchildren a few years ago. She attended the Wynona, First Assembly of God Church. Katie is survived by husband David of the home; one daughter- Kristin King; one stepson- Jeremy Wikel; one stepdaughter- Jaime Wikel; one sister- Cynthia Grim of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two brothers- Jack and John Hill of Tulsa; Oklahoma. Six grandchildren-Trinity Brown, Katelyn Wikel, Austin Wikel, Natalie Wikel, Madison Wikel and Alexandria Wikel. One niece- Jennifer Mounce, one nephew- Steven Grim and a host of family and friends. Katie was preceded in death by her parents. Katies services were Monday, December 14, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Downing officiating. Taped music selections were Somewhere in Time and Amazing Grace. Casket Bearers were Ralph McGill, Billy McGill, Gary Lester, Jack Hill, David Stephens and David Nave. Interment will be in the A.J. Powell Cemetery. Arrangements were made with Powell Funeral Home, Hominy, Oklahoma.
