Graveside services for June Mae McLaughlin, 90 of Webb City, Oklahoma will be held Saturday, January 17, 2015 at12:00 p.m. at A.J. Powell Cemetery in Hominy, with Pastor Velma Carriaga officiating. Interment is under the direction of Powell Funeral Home. June passed away on January 12, 2015 in Fairfax, Oklahoma. She was born June 28, 1924 in Old Keystone, Oklahoma to Rex W. and Fannie (Kamm) Wood. June married Oliver "Shorty" McLaughlin on January 6, 1942 he preceded her in death on April 11, 1989. She moved to Webb City in 1985 and was a member of the Shidler United Methodist Church and was involved with the United Methodist Women's group. June loved to crochet, doing puzzles and spending time visiting with friends She is survived by five children: Ron McLaughlin and wife Deborah of Towanda, KS; Don McLaughlin and wife Diane of Chetopa, KS; Velma Phillips and husband Gene of Wichita, KS; O.D. "Dewey" Jr. and wife Carolyn of Peck, KS; Susan Young and husband Stan of Shidler, OK; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Gloria Flannigan husband Shorty, two siblings Doris and Wilburn Jean. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to the Shidler United Methodist Church.
