Joyce Jeanette (Thomas) Moles Obituary Joyce Jeanette (Thomas) Moles, age 80 of Wynona, Oklahoma passed away December 29, 2008 at Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Joyce was born November 23, 1928 to V.C. (Joe) and Birdie Lou (Horine) Thomas in Wynona, Oklahoma. Joyce was a life-long resident of Wynona attending Wynona Public School. Joyce was retired but had worked as a factory worker at Munsingwear in Hominy and Simmons Industry Processing Plant. As a single mother, Joyce raised 5 children in the Mound Valley and Wynona area, until June 1980 when she married Jay Moles and adopted Crystil Dawn. They resided at Grand Lake for 17 years, before returning to Wynona in 1997. She was an active member of the Pentecostal church, VFW and the American Legion Post #198 Auxiliary in Pawhuska. Joyce and Jay were loved and respected by family and friends. Joyce is survived by three daughters- Cynthia Maker of Hominy, Kay Woods of Wynona and Crystil Cleveland of Catoosa, Oklahoma; two sons- David Martin of Tulsa and Cole Pinkerton of Nevada. Eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. Three brothers- Virgil Thomas of Wynona, Tony Thomas of Burns, Oregon and Paul Thomas of Burbank, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son- Daniel Martin, one brother- Troy and a grandchild- Amy Hayes. Funeral Services for Joyce were held Friday, January 2, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the Assembly of God Church, Wynona, Oklahoma with Bro. Carl Stage officiating. Music was Amazing Grace , and Im Going Home sung by Ruth Downing. Taped selections were Angels Among Us , Remember When , and Amazing Grace . Casket bearers were Rusty Thomas, Tracy Thomas, Norman Parks, Shane Martin, Justin Cleveland, Austin Frazier and Dustin Frazier. Honorary casket bearers were Rick Dilley, Rick Townley and Kenny Thomas. Interment in the A.J. Powell Cemetery was under the direction of Powell Funeral Home, Hominy.
