James 'Scott' Sherrick

James "Scott" Sherrick, 46 years, of Hominy, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the Cleveland Area Hospital in Cleveland, Oklahoma.

James was born in Tulsa, OK, on July 2, 1970 to Rex and Sharon (McKenzie) Sherrick.

He was married to Lisa Losinske, on February 28, 1993, and worked as an electrician. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching nature, walking in the woods, mushroom and arrowhead hunting, and working on his truck. He liked teasing the kids, listening to country music, and used to ride bulls.

James is survived by his wife, Lisa Sherrick, four children, Harley Sherrick of Hominy, Mercedes Sherrick and Roy Clements, of Hominy, Rowdy James Sherrick of Hominy and Sierra Sherrick of Tulsa, OK, two Grandchildren, Peyton and Hunter, parents Rex and Sharon, siblings, Kimmy and Jason Dempsey of Alabama, Brad Sherrick of Alabama, Nieces, Korisa Dempsey, Kayla Dempsey and Nephew, David Dempsey.

He is preceded in death by his Grandmother Kathleen Sherrick, Grandfather R.B. McKenzie, and his Aunt Norma.

Visitation will be 9 AM - 12 PM, Friday, May 9, 2017 at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Hominy. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, May 21 at the First United Methodist Church in Hominy, OK, at 2 PM.
