James Lynn Hall

James Lynn Hall was born on December 26, 1948 in Cleveland Oklahoma one of eight children to Johnny Hall and Pauline Baker Hall. He grew up living by the Cleveland Lake. He was drafted into the United States Army and started basic training when he was seventeen. When in Vietnam, Jim met his lifelong friend, Ted Mitchell. After serving two years in the army he headed back home to Cleveland. In the summer of 1972 he met Debby Burger dragging Main Street. They got engaged in November of 1972. On April 20, 1973 Jim and Debby got married in Blackburn Oklahoma. They had their first daughter, Heather on April 2, 1975; their second daughter, Jennifer on January 20, 1981; and their son, Clint on December 15, 1987. Jim’s first job was working with Shorty Martin at Gibble Gas. He had several other jobs over the years before he started working for Corrpro in September of 1987. He continued working there until Friday afternoon when he collapsed of a massive heart attack. He passed away Sunday morning, June 30, 2013. His favorite thing to do was spend time with the family; playing horseshoes and taking the grandkids on lawnmower rides. They all called him Pappy. He would do anything for his kids, grandkids, and great grandson. Jim is survived by: Wife:Debby Hall, Cleveland, Oklahoma Children:Heather of Cleveland, Jennifer of Jenks, and Clint and his wife, Mariah of Cleveland Grandchildren:Kelsie and her husband, Jonathon; Dylan, Kiya, Claire, Carson And Marley Great Grandson:Jonathon James, who was named after Pappy 3 Brothers:Jack of Mannford, Richard of California and Tony of New York Sister:Jean of Hominy Plus numerous other relatives, and many friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Pauline Hall, and three sisters, Carolyn, Vickie, and Kathy. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Blackburn Cemetery, Blackburn, Oklahoma, under the direction of Poteet Funeral Home, Pawnee, Oklahoma.
