Jackie Fay Glidewell

Jackie Fay Glidewell was born on May 28, 1930 in Colton, Oklahoma to Joseph Shelby Underwood and Hattie Malone Green Underwood. She passed from this life on Thursday, January 23, 2014 in Stillwater, Oklahoma having reached the age of 83 years, 7 months, and 25 days. She married Roy Thomas Thornburg in 1946 and he preceded her in death in 1995. She married Lowell Glidewell and he preceded her in death in 2000. Jackie was a loving, kind person. She was a woman who would always stop to help or give you anything she had, and loved working out in her flower bed, fishing, gambling, traveling, games and movies. She will be greatly missed by all of her children, grandkids, great grandkids and her friends. She would never say goodbye, and would always tell her children “Goodnight and I Love You”. Jackie is survived by: Children:Shirley Scott, Pawnee, Oklahoma Rusty Thornburg, Enid, Oklahoma Sonny Thornburg, Shawnee, Oklahoma John Thornburg, Okmulgee, Oklahoma Darlene Tolbert, Crowder, Oklahoma Mike Thornburg, Glenpool, Oklahoma Jody Thornburg, Granite, Oklahoma 2 Brothers:Harles Underwood, Schulter, Oklahoma Debbs Underwood, Schulter, Oklahoma Sister:Beulah Jones, Pawnee, Oklahoma 30 Grandchildren 3 Great Grandchildren 10 Great-Great Grandchildren Plus a number of other relatives, and many friends. Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Dee Underwood, and two sisters, Bell and Evelyn. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, January 27, 2014 at Poteet Funeral Chapel, Pawnee, Oklahoma with Rev. Tom Scott officiating. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery, Pawnee, Oklahoma.
