Henry Edward Campbell, Jr. Obituary Henry Edward Campbell, Jr., 77 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away March 27, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Henry was born December 26, 1932 to Henry Edward Sr. and Pearl Francis (Reeves) Campbell, at Wynona, Oklahoma. Henry was raised in Wynona and went to school at Mound Valley. He joined the U.S. Army in 1953 and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in 1955. He started working in the oilfield with his dad working the pulling unit and working as an operator. He worked in the oil field for over 25 years until he suffered a stroke. He loved learning and would often take college courses when he was bored and earned a B.A. degree; he was highly intelligent and very loved. Henry is survived by three sisters- Freda Campbell, Carol Robinson and husband Rick of Wynona and Kathy Thomas; nieces and nephews- Ricky Lee Robinson, Jr., Mike Edward Thomas, Jonathan Matthew Thomas, Sarah Eyvonne Thomas, Christina Nicole Kelly and many other loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings- Kathryn Martin and Melva Jean Aldridge. Graveside service for Henry will be Thursday April 1, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the A.J. Powell Cemetery with Rev. Mark Formby officiating. Taped music selections will be How Great Thou Art and In the Garden . Pall bearers will be Jonathan Thomas, Michael Thomas, Gerald Thomas, Harold Thomas, Thurman Thomas and Shane Thomas. Powell Funeral Home in Hominy was in charge of the arrangements with the VFW 5th District Rifle Squad paying him honor.
