Gerald Wayne Dykes, 67 years, of Collinsville, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Porta Caeli Hospice, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Gerald was born on March 25, 1951 to Frank and Nellie (Patrick) Dykes. He attended Wynona Public Schools and graduated in 1969. After graduation, he went on to work in the oil field, pipeline, and then was a case manager for Dick Connors Correctional. He dedicated 24 years of his life as Dick Connors senior case manager before retiring in early 2000. He enjoyed cars, motorcycle rides, and bird watching. Gerald attended the church of Full Gospel and the Bible
Churches.

Gerald is survived by: sons, Levi Richmond and wife Gail of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; John Richmond of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; daughters, Rebecca “Annie” Block of Taft, Oklahoma; Liza and husband James Brasel of Collinsville, Oklahoma; grandson, Caleb Brasel of Collinsville, Oklahoma; Noah Paul Block of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; granddaughters, Britney McCullough and husband Sam of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Alexa Richmond of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Hannah Rose Block of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Charlie Kate McCullough and Bennett Grey McCullough of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; brother, Frank Dykes; sisters, Ruth Earp; Rosa Mitchell; Louise Chambers.

Gerald is preceded in death by: parents, Frank and Nellie Dykes; brother, Jimmy Dykes; sisters, Edna Harber; Kay Bates.

The service for Gerald Dykes was held at 10:30, Thursday at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with minister, Phillip “Cork” Walden officiating. Interment will be in the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery, directed by the Powell Funeral Home of Hominy, Oklahoma. Pallbearers: Caleb Brasel, Levi Richmond, John Richmond, Charles Leonard, Lloyd Allison, Merril Barns. Musical Selections: “How Beautiful Heaven Must Be,” “I Have Never Been This Far Before,” “Go Rest High On That Mountain,” “Amazing Grace.”
