Fred Frick

Freddie Eugene Frick was born on March 11, 1918 in rural Payne County, north of Yale Oklahoma to Walter E. Frick and Augusta Lee Saxton Frick. He passed from this life on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at his home in Maramec, Oklahoma, having reached the age of 94 years, 11 months, and 1 day. He married Fern Lucile Bell on November 13, 1936 in the United Methodist Parsonage in Yale Oklahoma, and they moved to a farm north of Yale, and then to Pawnee County, south of Maramec where he has lived for 73 years. Fern preceded him in death on November 7, 2010. He was a member of the Maramec United Methodist Church, and has served as Church Superintendent for many years. He was a farmer, oilwell pumper until his retirement. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, and being with his family and friends. Fred is survived by: 3 Children:Billy E. Frick, Maramec, Oklahoma Betty Jane Henager & her husband, Clyde, Cleveland, Oklahoma Judy Ann Cartmell & her husband David, Pawnee, Oklahoma 4 Grandchildren:Sherrie Davis Bennett & her husband, Rex, Choctaw, Oklahoma Dwayne Cartmell & his wife, Pam, Perkins, Oklahoma Machelle Linsenmeyer & her husband, Scott, Glencoe, Oklahoma Doug Cartmell & his wife, Nicole, Kremlin, Oklahoma 10 Great Grandchildren:Shannon & James Potts, & son, Midwest City, Oklahoma Cory & Raedawn Davis & daughter, Vance AirForce Base, Enid, Ok Taylor, Ashton & Sutton Cartmell, Perkins, Oklahoma Dexter Davison, Pawnee, Oklahoma Maci Davison, Stillwater, Oklahoma Hayden Davison, Glencoe, Oklahoma Devlynn & Layden Cartmell, Kremlin, Oklahoma Sister:Ruth Haley, Springdale, Arkansas Stepsister:Geraldine Flagor, Yale, Oklahoma Plus a number of other relatives, and many friends. Besides his wife, Fern, he was preceded in death by his parents, 8 brothers, and one sister. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 15, 2013 at the Maramec United Methodist Church, Maramec, Oklahoma, with Rev. Jeff Kuhn officiating. Interment will be at Lawson Cemetery, Yale, Oklahoma, under the direction of Poteet Funeral Home, Pawnee, Oklahoma.
