Funeral services for Flora Marie Arthur, 79, formerly of Hominy, were held Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Hominy, OK with Pastor Mark Formby officiating. Interment in A.J. Powell Cemetery in Hominy, Oklahoma was under the direction of Powell Funeral Home. Musical selections for the service were "The Old Rugged Cross", "Precious Memories", and "Amazing Grace". Flora passed away on September 16, 2011 in Seminole, Oklahoma. She was born August 11, 1932 in Hominy, Oklahoma to Andrew Randolph and Opal Mae (Letokus) Phillips. She married Amos Arthur on February 26, 1956; he preceded her in death on January 16, 1998. She made her home in Hominy from 1970 until 2004. Flora worked as a care giver, had a janitorial business, and worked for several stores downtown. Flora is survived by two daughters: Donna Brown and husband Ron, and Janice Morgan all of Tecumseh; three grandchildren: Tracy Olivarez, Tommie Martin Morgan, Katrina Driver, twelve great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren, nephew Andrew Starrett and wife Donna and niece Vickie Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Amos, a daughter Serena Mae Jones, a sister Viola Starrett, three grandsons and one granddaughter. Powellfuneralhome.com
