Edith Irene Marrs, 85 years, of Chelsea, Ok, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa, Ok.

Edith was born in Hominy, Ok on October 9, 1930 to Edward Arnold and Audrey Mae (Sutton) Price.

She was married to James Marrs on December 3, 2004; they were married 11 years. She graduated from Barnsdall High School, and worked at Livingston Oil in Tulsa for a number of years, and, after that, worked as a Stanley Home Products Dealer. Then she worked at the First National Bank of Chelsea, where she resided for 39 years. She attended the Community of Christ Church in Vinita, Ok and was baptized at the age of 17.

She had a love for music. She enjoyed every kind of music, and especially country music, with Merle Haggard being her favorite. Edith and her sister, Ilene, loved to sing together. They both surprised their Mom and Dad one evening with their singing and harmonizing together. Her brothers and sisters all played in a band together, with Edith and Ilene singing. Her family all remembers her beautiful voice. She enjoyed planting flowers, teapots, and she loved frogs.

Edith is survived by: Husband, James Marrs of Chelsea, Ok, nine Children, Louisa Bilyeu of Oklahoma City, Ok, Jim Marrs of Tulsa, Ok, Bill Riley, of Chelsea, Ok, Sharon K. Marrs of Skiatook, Ok, Phillip Riley, and wife Hope of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Mark Riley, and wife Kathy of Chelsea, Ok, Ronnie Riley, and wife Valarie of Barnsdall, Ok, Shelli Youngwolfe of Claremore, Ok, and Joe Marrs of Sperry, Ok, 20 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, one Brother, Louie Price of Barnsdall, Ok, and three Sisters, Ilene Price of Chelsea, Ok, Frances Pugh of Owasso, Ok, and Edna Thomas of Tulsa, Ok.

She is preceded in death by: Parents, Edward Arnold and Audrey Mae Price, Husbands, Bill Riley and Lloyd Van Brunt, one Son, Steve, one Grandson, Greg, four Brothers, Bud, Jack, Bob and Kenneth, and two Sisters, Bonnie and Virginia.

The Graveside Service was held at 2:30PM, Monday, April 11, 2016 at AJ Powell Memorial Cemetery Pavillion, with Don Goettel officiating. Musical selections were: Tommy Price playing songs, "Grandfathers Clock" and "Shucking the Corn" on the banjo. Nancy Price and Rilda Howse singing, "Old, Old Path", and "Amazing Grace" sang by everyone. Pallbearers were: Tommy Price, Ronnie Price, Linn Price, Mike Price, Steve Thomas, and Tom Howse.
