Don B Myers

Don B. Myers, 70, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at his home in Prue, Oklahoma. He was a resident of Prue for ten years. Don Bruce Myers was born to Margaret (Jamison) and Walter Heston Myers on April 15, 1943, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He worked as a Stationery Mechanic in civilian life. He was a veteran of the Navy during 1964-1968, and during that time, he worked as an aircraft mechanic. Don was awarded, while in service to his country, a National Defense Service Medal, Viet Nam Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, Viet Nam Campaign Medal and a Meritorious Unit Commendation. Don liked to fish, travel and go to the casino. Don is survived by: his daughter; Tanya Myers of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, his son; Donald Myers, Jr. of Tulsa, Oklahoma, two grandchildren; Jordan Myers and Kathleen Myers; one great-grandchild; Jewell Natalie Rardin and three siblings; Sylvia Jackson of Chouteau, Oklahoma, Robert Myers of Prue, Oklahoma and Barbara Burnell of Pryor, Oklahoma. Don is preceded in death by his parents, his brother; Kenneth Myers and his wife; Nancy. Memorial services will be held 1:00 PM, Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at the Chapel of Powell Funeral Home in Hominy, Oklahoma with the Reverend Garry McDevitt officiating. Internment will be at A. J. Powell Cemetery in Hominy, Oklahoma. Arrangements are by Powell Funeral Home. The family of Don B.
