Dave Palmer Prater Obituary Dave Palmer Prater, 75 of Hominy, Oklahoma passed away February 26, 2010 at his residence. Dave was born November 4, 1934 to David George and Clennie B. (Jackson) Prater in Hominy, Oklahoma. Dave was a life-long resident of Hominy. He attended Hominy Public Schools. On November 20, 1960 Dave and June Kay Westbrook were married. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Dave worked in the oil business as a service sales engineer and was a member of the First Christian Church, Hominy. He is survived by his wife June of the home; two sons- Lee Prater and wife Chris of Hominy and Dave Tim Prater and wife Stacie of Skiatook, Oklahoma; six grandchildren- Cassie, Brittany, Alex, Jamie, Zack and Jason T. Prater; two brothers- Carl Eli Prater and Fred Prater both of Hominy; and one sister- Pauline Jenkins of Hermitage, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his parents; five brothers- Carrol George, Bill, Ralph, Tom and Leland. Two sisters- Beatrice Campbell and Celeste Heichert. Private Service at the Powell Cemetery Pavilion is Monday, March 1, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor, Mark Formby officiating. Pall Bearers are Jerry Lockridge, Donald Brummel, Noah Breeding, Larry Brown, Kevin Carter and Keith Hollis. Interment was in the A. J. Powell Cemetery. Powell Funeral Home of Hominy was in charge of the arrangements with the American Legion Post #198 of Pawhuska paying honor to him.
