Claudine Fay Smith was a twin born on May 14, 1950 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Louis Sylvester Elston and Lucille Minerva Johnson. She passed from this life on Saturday, December 27, 2014 in Stillwater, Oklahoma having reached the age of 64 years, 7 months, and 13 days. At a young age she moved to Arkansas City, Kansas where she attended school. On February 10, 1968 she married John Douglas Smith III in Arkansas City where they made their home, and he preceded her in death. Claudine worked several years at Huffy’s Bike Company in Ponca City. She enjoyed taking care of children, leading to her next job of working at her daughter’s day care, “Tiny Tots Day Care”, in Wichita Kansas. Most of all Claudine enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking her famous egg rolls and fishing. Claudine is survived by her son, Christopher Michael Smith, Pawnee; daughter, Carissa Anette Fennell and her husband, Andre, Wichita, Kansas; two sisters, Marcia Louis Lolar and her twin sister, Charlene Kay Johnson, both of Stillwater; grandchildren, Sedriauna, Andre and Jayla Fennell, Wichita, Molly Smith and Megan, Wellington Kansas, Alexandra Smith, Kendall and Randal Brown, all of Stillwater, and Dreamius Smith, West Virginia; plus a h0ost of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Besides her husband, John, she was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Lucille Elston; her son, Douglas Smith; and two sisters, Bonnie Jean Miles and Jacqueline Sue Watson. Services will be held at Noon, Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the First Baptist Church, Pawnee, Oklahoma. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery, Pawnee, Oklahoma
