Clarence Calvin Jocko Clapper Obituary Jocko Clapper 72, of Hominy, Oklahoma passed away September 7, 2008 at Cleveland, Oklahoma. Jocko was born to Auzzie and Alma (Clapper) Cupp on September 24, 1935 in Hominy, Oklahoma. Jocko attended Hominy Public Schools graduating in 1955. He served in the Oklahoma National Guard. He had worked for the Hominy Police Department and Fire Department, worked for API doing oilfield work and was working for the U.S. Post Office when he retired. Jocko had been a Boy Scout and Eagle Scout Leader for many years, working with many youth in our community. He loved to play horseshoes, dominos and visiting with friends at Total. Jocko made an anatomical gift to the OU Medical School. He is survived by one brother- James Cupp and wife Heidi of Hominy; one sister- Gladys Marie Cunningham of Keystone, Oklahoma; three nephews- Michael Cupp of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Shelby and John Todd Cunningham of Keystone, Oklahoma; one niece- Danyala Weaver of Hominy and other relatives and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents- Auzzie and Alma, sister- Ruth Searl, and grandparents- John and Esther Clapper. Memorial services will be Friday, September 12, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Powell Funeral Home chapel with Bud Tibbles, Minister officiating. CD music selections will be by Alan Jackson- The Old Rugged Cross , In the Garden and How Great Thou Art. The family entrusted the Powell Funeral Home with the arrangements.
