Obituary for Carol Jean Copeland Carol Jean Copeland, 76 of Hominy, Oklahoma and Upper Arlington, Ohio, passed away Feb. 24, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born October 26, 1933 in Cushing, Oklahoma to Roy Dee and Fern Alice (Crumley) Copeland. She was a member of the Riverside United Methodist Church in Upper Arlington, Ohio, and she was a retired Property Manager of Trouville and a wonderful homemaker enjoying taking care of her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her three children Cathy D. Updegraff and her husband Steven of Upper Arlington, Ohio; Alesia Fern Petersen of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and H. Geoffrey Petersen and wife Teresa of Owasso, Oklahoma and 9 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Services were Monday, March 1, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church, Hominy, Oklahoma at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Craig Brown officiating. Music selections were In Christ Alone and Little Wing . Casket Bearers were Michael Updegraff, Steven Updegraff, Jonathan Updegraff, Jack Galland, Cha Tullis, Geoffrey Sturman and Gunnar Sturman. Interment was in the A.J. Powell Cemetery. Powell Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
